Joelle and The Gypsy Band- Bio
In 2020, during COVID, “Joelle and the Gypsy” band was created. Joelle and her band entertain audiences with front woman Joelle’s 40-plus years of experience in the music business, telling stories and incorporating her magic tip jar- top hat- that belonged to Lance Burton. The music chosen and performed is the hits of the 1960s, 1970s, 1980s, 1990s, and today. Lead guitarist Tim Poupard adds a spin on the classics with his bass tracks and beats machine.
Las Vegas Icon for 40 years, Joelle Righetti has performed for decades with popular Vegas shows: The Follies Bergere, Siegfried and Roy, Lance Burton, Vegas the Show, Crazy Girls, Vegas the Story, and The Rat Pack is Back.
Joelle has graced several stages in “seven” of the longest-running shows in Vegas.

She’s a classic daughter of Las Vegas; Born in Youngstown, Ohio but raised here in the glimmering lights she calls home, Las Vegas. Joelle Righetti aka “Roknjo” has graced the Las Vegas Stages since 1984. Her longest claim to fame was with “The Lance Burton” show as the lead magician’s assistant for over 2 decades. She has also been a part of several historical shows, “Vegas the Show”, and Guest artist in Dick Feeney’s ‘The Rat Pack as Back.”
Joelle has made a name for herself in the past as an independent songwriter and Artist. Participating in EAT’M (Emerging Artist and Talent in Music) writing original music, and as studio singer in several projects. She has been featured in several studio sessions; She joined in the project with Platinum recording artist Greg Medoro on his record, “14 Sunset Way” with nine-time Grammy winning Engineer Producer, James “Bonzai” Caruso.
Joelle has opened up for several national acts for such artists as Fuel, Warrant, Firehouse, and Frankie Perez. She has played for the “Bite of Las Vegas.” local Las Vegas radio station 94.1’s yearly music festival. A graduate of Calvary Chapel University Bible College, with a Bachelors degree in Theology and Women’s Ministries, in May of 2022. Ordained as a Pastor by her church Canyon Ridge in August of 2022. Owns her own business, ” The Gypsy Mobile Minister,” pastoring and catering to elopements, living room funerals and baby dedications, in the Las Vegas valley. Also, a “Sag” actress, she has made an appearance on Fox’s “Raising Hope,” the Henderson edition, Nevada episode and Fox’s Hell’s Kitchen as the mean party planner. Amazon Prime has one of her works in the featured film titled, “Billy Topit.” Also Joelle can be seen in the film “Faith Wins” as “Pastor Emily,” written by Rich Natole and John Pate.
